SALLY'S STORY

Sally Brooks’s love of jewelry started with a memory—and a sketch. Although her journey began when she was nine, the roots run deeper to 1962, in Los Angeles’s iconic Jewelry District. Her father is an extremely talented artist that ran a Gold-Leaf Lettering business from the St. Vincent’s Jewelry Center at the corner of 7TH & HILL. One moment in the 80s—inspired by their beloved Care Bears—Sally and her sister, Jen, watched as their dad sketch a necklace, a jeweler friend molded the wax, and molten gold flowed like lava. Sally was mesmerized watching this. Today, she and her sister still wear those Care Bear necklaces, and we offer an exact replica you can add to your own collection.

That moment stayed with her—and so did the district’s architectural rhythm. Today, many of Sally’s newest designs echo those Art Deco motifs: geometric lines, radiant sunbursts, and stepped silhouettes reimagined for modern wear.

Granny’s Charm Bracelet

Sally and her sister spent countless hours with this charm bracelet, cherishing every moment. That love still fuels us today. It inspired Sally’s ambition to build her most expansive collection—the charms. Today you’ll see many charms inspired by English designs from the 1920s, brought to life in 7th & Hill’s collections.

Craftsmanship, not just sparkle

For Sally, jewelry is art. It’s about more than gold, diamonds, and gemstones—it's the craft behind every piece. From wax to final polish, the meticulous hands and tiny prongs that secure every pavé diamond bring an idea to life. She knows how a single cracked wax mold can set a project back, and she’s learned to guard against it—so your piece arrives exactly as imagined.

What’s new

We’ve also introduced DESIGN YOUR OWN, a program born from countless client requests over the past nine years. If you’ve ever dreamed up a unique piece, this is your chance to see that dream come to life.

Why jewelry matters

Today’s pieces are personal, loved, and made to endure. Jewelry is more than a sparkly accessory—it’s a work of art you can wear, and a potential heirloom to be passed down through generations. When you wear our pieces, you’re sharing your story.

Meet Sally

In 2015, Sally moved from Los Angeles to Toronto, dreaming of owning a jewelry brand. A few years later, she co-founded SALT Fine Jewelry and has had the pleasure of working with countless dedicated clients. She has always loved drawing, jewelry, and the art-deco districts she explored with family and friends, endlessly inspired by the countless designs around them.

Sally now lives in Toronto with her husband and three children. She’ll always be an LA beach girl at heart—still reaching for flip-flops even when the snow falls.
